What’s good about blogging is that there are many sites that offer free blogging services. Popular sites include Blogspot, Wordpress, and Livejournal. So all you need to know is a topic to write about and some writing skills. If you are not the type who likes to talk about the happenings of your daily life like Bryanboy.com, then you can use a theme to your blog. Are you a tech addict and want to talk about the latest gadgets there is? You can do so like Gizmodo.com and give your opinions and reviews on the latest thingamajig around. If you’re a sports fan like Sherman Mazur, put up your own blog that talk about what sport you are passionate about.

Not everyone can write well but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a blogger. There are other forms of blogging that you can explore.

There is photo blogging. Photo blogging is for photography enthusiasts, amateurs or professionals who would like to share photos instead. If you can’t write, then let your photos do the talking for you. All you need is a camera, an interesting subject and click! Another popular form of blogging is video blogging. Some people are comfortable recording themselves on camera. What’s good too is that people can see you. You Tube is a site that allows uploading of videos is a good site for video blogging.

We all know that it’s not easy to stitch words together and if you’re not comfortable giving updates on your life in paragraphs, you can stick to micro-blogging. Micro-blogging is popularized by sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Plurk. In 140 characters or less, let people know what’s your day is like or what you are thinking. The mentioned sites are also effective ways to promote advocacies or tell what’s on the news and even endorse products.

Blogging is for everyone. Even stars have blog sites that they personally update such as Jason Mraz. All you need is your computer, your Internet connection, an account to a blog site, and an idea!
