Time Management Tips for Healthy Meals - 5 Ways To Save Money And Time

Finding more time doesn’t have to cost more money. You can have more of both, time and money, and enjoy delicious food economically. Here’s how to build on whatever start you have made:

1) Plan ahead.

Create a basic shopping list you can refer to week after week. By searching online for “grocery list template”, you will access several to select from. Then simply modify as needed. To further refine your shopping list, group items according to which aisle they are on, starting from one side of the store and working your way across.

Scan your newspaper for coupons. Sometimes you can access sale pages online, saving the cost of the newspaper. Then plan out your your week’s meals accordingly. Consider comparing costs of processed and unprocessed foods. You may find that you can prepare some meals from scratch for much less money and not much extra work.

Are you bored with your current cooking? An easy way to try new recipes is to make a list of your favorite cuisines, and hunt online. Enter the nationality, ingredients on sale or on hand, and any other important characteristic. For example, if you like Thai food and have a handful of items to use up, type into your search engine, “recipes Thai chicken coconut carrots quick” and take your pick. Remember that most national dishes developed over generations to feed people as economically as possible. Meat is often used more as a flavoring than a central ingredient, which increases the healthiness of many “ethnic” meals, too.

Consider including meals for crock-pot cooking. Remember that less expensive meats are delicious and tender when slow-cooked. So are many vegetarian meals. And there is only one pot to clean afterwards.

Buy enough to prepare extra meals. Plan to freeze portions. If you like variety, consider freezing the ingredients individually, and vary how you combine them for future feasts.

Plan a few “kitchen sink specials” - in summer, leftover salad ingredients can be lightly chopped in a blender with chilled tomato juice for a delicious variation on gazpacho. Casseroles and stews are tasty budget stretchers that needn’t take much time as the weather cools.

2) Shop on schedule.

Never shop on an empty stomach. It is probably no news to you that will power is much stronger when you’re not hungry!

Here is where your grocery list template comes in handy:

* Buy only what is on your shopping list.

* Avoid aisles that don’t feature food on your list.

* Note how much time and money you save.

3) Follow through.

What’s more welcoming than a delicious dish simmering in a crock-pot when you return from a busy day? Schedule time before leaving for work to assemble dinner in your crock-pot, or pull items from the freezer. If time allows, set the table, too.

4) Savor your meal.

When you sit down to eat, relax and enjoy yourself. You will appreciate your time more when you immerse yourself in the delicious flavors, and time spent only on yourself.

5) Freeze leftovers in clearly labeled and dated portion sizes.

You will find before long that you have a selection to pull from in busy times.

Food preparation is just one example of how planning ahead conserves both money and time. The time you spend preparing is more than repaid throughout the coming week. Enjoy your meals and the time you find!

Can Conversational Hypnosis Be Linked To Cultivating Success?

Without doubt one of today’s most popular hypnosis techniques is Conversational Hypnosis. Persuading a person to do something that would otherwise not be their normal course of action is proof of it’s power.

However, as with any power, this persuasion technique can be used for undesirable activities, and we should be aware of these techniques and use them responsibly.

There are many ways that Conversational Hypnosis can have a positive influence on people’s lives. Educators are using it to help students learn and retain the information they need to survive and even excel in today’s competitive world of learning. Several studies have been conducted and the higher percentage showed that students learn faster and retain the information almost indefinitely when conversational hypnosis persuasion techniques are used.

This technique is often used by motivational speakers with the same profound effects. Have you ever been to a conference or heard a life coach speak? That wonderful new found feeling of energy and motivation that we feel afterwards can be attributed to the neurolinguistic programming techniques used by the speaker. Being subtly programmed in this way has enormous benefits for the audience who can now approach tasks with new found motivation so while conversational hypnosis can at times sound like a devious technique that can take advantage of others it can also have long term benefits that are positive for all involved when it is used responsibly.

If you work in sales, it would be a great tool to have. By using covert hypnosis, you can indeed help others take your side. While doing this, the other person will temporarily be unaware that you are communicating with their subconscious mind.

In order to see the power of conversational hypnosis working for you, what you must first understand is how the human mind works, and the difference between the conscious mind and the unconscious mind. There are many who try these techniques but don’t quite manage to invoke a full hypnotic state in their listeners and hence they do not get the full effects of it’s power.

The full benefits of these techniques have previously been the realm of a small number of skilled experts and those who seem to find the techniques come to them naturally. The good news is the techniques can be learned and implemented powerfully with the right guidance and some practice.

The more you practice, the more it sinks in and becomes a normal part of your life. However, technically the subject has to allow this to happen and it can never be forced or done with straight commands; it must be subtle.

If it’s forced or if you command someone, the relaxation is broken and the conscious filters prevent the hypnosis process.

Can you actually master conversational hypnosis for yourself and use it’s power in your everyday life? My free email course shows you how I apply this technique to my personal relationships and my professional career in recruitment. With the right advice it can be done - start learning how you can cultivate your own success and success in others.

Terri Davis has cultivated her success in recruitment by using conversational hypnosis techniques to influence those around her. With the right training this power is very achieveable. Find out what made the difference at Conversational Hypnosis 101.com

Ten Steps To Instantly Master The Art Of Persuasion

If you wish you had the art of persuasion, then you want to be more credible, influential, and convincing.

Persuasion makes wonderful things happen. It open minds, shifts attitudes, finds love, wins friendships, influences people, and makes money.

The art of persuasion has been highly prized throughout history. It has been the source of interesting myths because people have long considered eloquence to be magical and as potent as a charm. In Ireland, for instance, legend has it that kissing the Blarney Stone in Blarney Castle will bless you with the art of persuasion.

When you know how to say the right things at the right time, when you know how to use the art of persuasion, you will develop a knack for negotiation and influence.

So, if you want to learn the psychology of persuasion, rather than at a loss for words, here are 10 tips on how to develop the art of persuasion.

1. What do you know?

An effective speaker is knowledgeable. Well-educated about their favorite subject, they can tell you many interesting things about it. They command your attention because they know their subject and can cite facts and figures. They can also hook your attention with interesting interpretations. Knowledgeable people are persuasive.

2. Do you listen?

How do you persuade others? You get them to agree with you. But first, you have to know what they have on their minds. You can only find out by asking open-ended questions and carefully listening to their answers. It’s almost impossible to be convincing if you have no rapport with your listeners. The best way to make others better listeners is to be a good listener yourself.

3. Do you have humility?

Natural born leaders have humility, winning friends and influence people by not assuming an imagined sense of superiority. They have a way of making people feel comfortable around them. Because they have humility, people open up to them and share their thoughts and feelings with them. Natural born leaders are approachable. They are not afraid to be human, even nurturing. Egotistical people, on the other hand, unconsciously find many ways to make feel people resistant and uncooperative

4. Do you maintain eye contact?

When you give someone your attention, you look into their eyes. This shows that you consider them important and they respond to your focus by returning the favor. Looking around or looking away when talking to someone tells them that you do not find them very interesting. While it is not necessary to stare someone down during a conversation, sufficient eye contact will create a sense of rapport.

5. Do you have a sense of humor?

The fastest way to win someone over is to make them laugh with you. It is almost impossible not to like, admire, and even respect someone who is humorous. It is almost impossible to disagree with someone when you feel good about something they have just said, even if the remark was just a witticism.

6. Do you like other people?

Many people do not like other people very much. They would rather interact with computers, machines, or even interesting books. They, in fact, feel uncomfortable with other people. People who have a knack for the art of persuasion are neither preoccupied nor introverted. Instead, they are open and receptive to what other people say, think, and feel. They are approachable and friendly because they have people skills.

7. Are you egotistical?

Someone who is only interested in getting other people to listen to their personal stories, anecdotes, and experiences is not persuasive. If this self-interest expands to bragging, then the only thing other people are interested in is getting away from you as quickly as possible. If they cannot physically leave, for example, they are seated at a dining table, they mentally disengage from what you are saying.

8. Do you smile?

A smile, like eye contact, is a non-verbal, rapport-builder. You can better express what you’re saying when you smile.

9. Do you know someone who can be a role model?

One of the fastest ways to move away from feeling inhibited or tongue-tied is to associate with people who are natural talkers. Listening to them, you will automatically develop a knack for building rapport. You will also learn how to communicate effectively and engagingly.

10. Do you prepare your ideas ahead of time?

In a formal setting, such as at a job interview, a business negotiation, or a persuasive speech, knowing what you will say well ahead of time, will result in a marvelous fluency when you need to present your point of view. So, rehearse and practice what you intend to say.

These ten tips will help you learn how to win friends and influence people. They will make you warmer and more approachable. You will become someone whom others enjoy spending time with talking about things. These ten tips are the next best thing to kissing the Blarney Stone. These communication techniques will make you charming.

By mastering the art of persuasion, you’ll be able to be able to negotiate anything better. You will be more persuasive. You will excel at interviews. You will sell more. You will also be able to positively influence your boss and colleagues. And, finally, your family and friends will start to see things your way.

Get Some Stress Relief with Jigsaw Puzzles!

Stress can be caused by a number of factors and may be different for different people. The symptoms can be hard to detect, as the symptoms are often easily confused with other issues. One really good way to reduce stress, that doesn’t cost a lot of money, is by putting together jigsaw puzzles, whether they are 1500 piece puzzles, 500 piece jigsaw puzzles or uniquely shaped jigsaw puzzles offer their own challenges.

Stress is usually due to factors we have no control over, like a needed car or house repair that breaks the budget, or you may not have the money to pay for. At work there may be a co-worker who doesn’t carry their weight, difficult people with their own agendas that you need to work around, or maybe a project with a due date that is looming. The kids may be getting into trouble at school, or worse.

Stress can affect the body in many different ways, some obvious; others may not be detected until they are more severe. Stress weakens the immune system, which may result in being sick more often. Tension headaches, sleeplessness, general anxiety, feelings of frustration and irritability can all be symptoms of too much stress.

When you’ve had a chance to take your mind off of a problem or issue, you can get a whole new perspective. You can see the issue more objectively. Maybe it’s not as bad as you thought. Maybe it is as bad as you thought, but you can think clearer to find a solution.

Games, such as jigsaw puzzles, that are intellectually stimulating take your mind off of what is causing your stress. When your mind is off of the stressor, you loosen up. You begin to relax. It can take you back to a time when you enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles when you didn’t have a care in the world — when you were a child. They can be done while watching TV or listening to the radio. You can work on them as much or as little as you want, as they don’t need to be done in one sitting. They can be done alone, or you can make it a family project. The sense of accomplishment and achievement you feel when a jigsaw puzzle is complete can be hard to come by in our hectic day-to-day lives. You may even want to frame it and hang it on the wall; or, you can take it apart to put it all back together another day.

If you are a beginner, you may want to start out with a 100-piece jigsaw puzzle. You don’t want to start with a 1500 piece puzzle as it might be too challenging and turn you off of jigsaw puzzles for good! A 500-piece jigsaw should be a good place to start if you’ve done puzzles as a child. There are many different types of puzzles to suit young and old alike. Uniquely shaped jigsaw puzzles offer a fun twist to the traditional rectangle shaped puzzles.

No matter what stressors you have in your life, no matter which symptoms you are experiencing; putting together jigsaw puzzles can be a great way to relax and let it all go.

How To Develop A Positive Attitude Through Subliminal Messages and Positive Affirmations

Living a fulfilled and happy life is something that we all want to have. A life where we can achieve our goals, get the career we always wanted, stay happy with our relationships, and have abundance and prosperity.

However, the way we think and our attitude most often hinder us to achieve all these, and the way we think is influenced by the many negative experiences and thoughts that we unconsciously have taken in our system. Nowadays, in the quest for a happier life, the need to develop a positive attitude towards life is also in demand.

Sometimes we all have our own little ways in telling our subconscious to help us deal with problems and trials in life. Often, when we are afraid or anxious, we said to ourselves, ‘just think positive’ or we probably say, ‘I am in good hands’ - and we can feel a little better. If we only say these things to ourselves everyday, it can help a lot in changing the negative thoughts we have and help us lead a more fulfilled and happy life.

Learning to develop a positive attitude can be your first step towards achieving your goals. In doing so, there are tools that can help you retrain your mind and start training it to positive thinking. Here are two of the most popular techniques in reaching out to your subconscious, change the way you think and develop a positive attitude.

Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are statements that you ‘feed’ into your subconscious to help you change your negative thoughts and attitudes as well as manifesting whatever it is that you desire in life. Indeed, thoughts are powerful that it affects the life we are living now.

In using positive affirmations to develop a positive attitude, these statements are usually repeated aloud or self-talk, or they are repeated mentally, or they can also be written - although saying them to yourself aloud is seen to be most effective as it is also clearer. Aside from being positively stated, these affirmations also require emotions - feeling the meaning of each positive affirmation. If you can learn the basic guidelines in creating affirmations, you can actually make your own to get you started.

Like any other technique in changing your life, it may take time too to be able to get results, so you also need to be persistent in this practice.

Subliminal Messages

Aside from telling affirmations to yourself, you can also reach out to your subconscious through subliminal messages. Unlike positive affirmations, subliminal messages are ‘hidden’ messages that are said to penetrate to your subconscious without being perceived by the conscious mind. They are usually embedded in mediums such as photos and videos. You may not be able to see or perceive them but repetition of these subliminal messages allow them to penetrate into your subconscious mind, eventually affecting your behavior and attitude.

Although subliminal messages have negative connotations before, they are, however, great tools to help you develop a positive attitude by using of course positive subliminal messages. Using this technique to develop a positive attitude is also simpler, as all you have to do is sit down and watch the video to get the subliminal messages embedded on it.

Carolyn Anderson loves to share great tools to help you in being positive in life. For subliminal messages software, check out Subliminal Power. Also check out Subliminal Secrets Exposed, , a guide to help you make your own subliminal messages.

What Are Subliminal Messages And What Are Their Uses

The power of the subconscious mind has been studied for years and years and it has become a subject of great interest among many people. From hypnosis to other mind control techniques, to manifesting your desires in life, the power of the subconscious indeed is vast.

Over the years, many techniques have been used to put the power of the subconscious into use. One of these popular techniques is the use of subliminal messages.

What are subliminal messages? These are messages that are ‘hidden’ in mediums such as photos, videos or audios that we don’t normally see or hear. These messages are said to directly reach the subconscious mind even without our knowing, and when it does reach our subconscious, it affects our attitudes, behaviors and thoughts.

Most often, they are present in television, ads, movies and they may be embedded in music - and they remain unnoticed by the conscious mind. These messages have been used in advertising too, which also became an issue of being able to ‘brainwash’ people - as the most common uses of subliminal messages is for companies to get a sale, to make people buy their commercial products even if they are not planning to buy one.

Another misuse of subliminal messages is the incorporation of negative ideas in movies or in rock music which are not suitable especially with the younger ones and the children. Although the misuse of these messages has given a negative connotation on what are subliminal messages, there are however good uses these messages.

Subliminal messages are now popularly used in personal development. Used as positive affirmations to your subconscious, it has been a technique used in weight loss, in stress reduction, developing self-esteem, overcoming bad habits and in developing a positive outlook in life.

The use of these hidden messages is also becoming popular in manifesting your desires in life - whether you aim for abundance and prosperity, happiness and fulfillment, success in business and profession, the power of subconscious has been considered powerful to change your life for the better.

This great effect of subliminal messages also helps ‘reprogram’ or retrain your mind to be able to change your ways. Although this tool has been said to be effective in this area, it is also important to note that the effect and change is not instant. If you are using this type of messages to help you lose weight, do not expect that it will give you a miracle in a couple of days. Retraining your mind indeed can take time but of course, its results are lasting, especially if you are using these hidden messages to change your negative thoughts.

Among the many ways that subliminal messages are used are in the forms of audios, or videos. Some software also specializes in flashing messages in your monitor. Unlike other ways of communicating to your subconscious, the use of subliminal messages is convenient, as you do not need to have a specific time and place or session to listen to it. You can listen to it anytime, have them in your office computer or listen to them while you are doing something.

Learning what are subliminal messages and what it can do to our lives can be a great start in reaching your goals and desires in life.

Carolyn Anderson loves to share self-help resources to improve other people’s lives. For changing your life to the better, check out this subliminal messages software. Also check out Subliminal Studio, a package where you can create your own subliminal audio or video.

Daily Positive Affirmations And Subliminal Messages To Change The Way You Think

What we do and think about many things in life is not just a product of our conscious mind but also of our subconscious. What we say to ourselves often have effects in our lives and daily positive affirmations are said to change those negative thoughts into positive ones and start making a change for the better.

Because it changes the way you see things and the way you deal with life, daily positive affirmations are not just beneficial for yourself but also to people that you deal with everyday. Daily positive affirmations are done by talking and communicating to yourself positive things that you want to inculcate into your subconscious.

If for example as a child you are being told repeatedly that you are stupid or dull, it would, in the end, affect the way you think about yourself, your behavior, and you lose confidence in yourself. You may even unconsciously reinforce the idea in your subconscious by telling yourself how stupid you are every time you are not doing something right.

If you are bombarded constantly with negative statements, you also tend to feel tired, with low energy, and you end up always in doubt. Truly, by changing the way we think, we can do better and we can strive to reach our goals, and be happy with life, and having daily positive affirmations is a great tool in doing this.

In making positive affirmations, you have to create positive sentences that you will tell yourself everyday - either mentally or saying it aloud. Saying it aloud is seen to be more effective as it can be clearer when heard. These short sentences are formulated in a positive way and make sure you are not using negative words.

Say, if you want to lose weight and you want to retrain your mind to getting into shape, you tell yourself ‘I choose to be slim, attractive and healthy’ and not ‘I am not fat.’ The mention of ‘fat’ may bring in negative thoughts into your mind, and of course, you might not even want to hear the word. Also make statements as if they are already happening and true. Instead of telling yourself, ‘I want lots of money,’ go tell yourself, ‘I can see more money coming to me’.

In making sure you are drafting good statements for your daily positive affirmations, you can find many resources online on how to make your own affirmations. You can even find some CDs and videos of positive affirmations that you just have to watch everyday.

Another technique in retraining your mind fast is by the use of subliminal messages. Unlike positive affirmations, these messages are not grasp by your conscious mind but reaches out directly to your subconscious. These messages are often embedded in mediums like videos or photos, and are even found in movies and ads. Although these messages are not readily grasped by the conscious mind, they too can affect the way people act and behave. When put into good use, positive subliminal messages can be a good tool in changing the negative thoughts your have to positive ones.

Carolyn Anderson practices positive affirmations to help her live a positive life. If you are interested in subliminal messages, check out this Subliminal Power. Also check out Brain Bullet, a software that flashes positive affirmations on your screen.

But it has been observed that most of us go through stress at various times of the day. It might be due to work or any other state of life. It might lead to awful conditions which are very harmful for us. For this reason, it is imperative to get self-help for stress management.

Symptoms of stress:

Stress can be identified in many ways. There are many symptoms associated with it, the most common being headaches and muscle pain, dizziness and sweating, nausea and bowel problems, thudding of heart and a shaking of the entire body. How to Control Those Pesky Negative Thoughts

If you have spent any time studying the movie “The Secret,” or “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles (which the movie is based upon), you are aware of the importance of controlling what you think about. You are probably also quite aware of how difficult that is. It sounds easy on the surface, but once you try to make it a practice to only think positive thoughts - only about the things you want in life and not the ones you don’t - you realize what a daunting task that is.

Of all the elements in the theory behind the movie “The Secret,” it is likely this is responsible for most of the frustration experienced by people who truly want to make positive changes in their lives. The good news is that there are techniques you can employ to master your thoughts and transform them into positive and productive tools.

It is extremely important to remember, you are the one in control. It is YOUR mind and YOU ultimately have control over what happens in your mind. It is also important to remember that most of what is in your mind was programmed before you were old enough to realize whether it was good or bad. Therefore, do not blame yourself or beat yourself up for having these negative thoughts, just take action and turn them into positive thoughts. You have control!

The first step is to become aware of your thoughts. Start listening to the chatter that is going on in your mind throughout the day. We are so used to this chatter we typically don’t even realize it is there. A good way to start identifying the messages you are giving yourself is to post notes around your living or work space that commands you to stop and listen. Another trick I use when I am working at my computer is to add appointments to my Outlook calendar with reminders. So, a couple of times a day a reminder pops up on my screen and tells me to stop and pay attention to what is going through my mind. Don’t worry, after you do this for awhile, it will become automatic and you will no longer need reminders.

Now that you are aware of your thoughts, take a look at your present situation and see if it reflects the thoughts that are repeatedly going through your mind. This will give you your starting point to begin reprogramming your mind. Take some time and write down what your thoughts are and how they are being manifested in your life and environment.

The next step is to pay attention to how you feel when things happen during the day. Are there times where you have strong emotional feelings (either negative or positive) in response to something? Stop and think - is there something in my past that I am connecting with that occurrence? If it is a negative response, it is important to catch yourself whenever it happens and “cancel” it. Simply stop what you are doing and say or think “CANCEL.”

If you experience a positive emotional feeling, try to determine what is causing that feeling. Was there something in your past that occurred to give you that feeling? The positive feelings are the ones we cherish and encourage. Whenever you have one of the negative feelings, replace it with the thought that gives you the positive feeling. Replace the bad with the good. The more you do this, the less you will have the negative and the more you will have the positive. You are reprogramming your mind to benefit you instead of hinder you.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to realize that YOU have the power to change your thought patterns, so stop beating yourself up and get busy creating the life you desire!

Personal Image Branding is the Backbone of Confidence

The wide variety of personal development and personal branding products and programs will relate that confidence is one of the most crucial elements in any bid to improve personal and professional performance, and this relation is true.

Evident in the personalities of successful people, confidence can bestow ability, power and influence that many people are not entirely aware they have. Confidence shouldn’t be blindly adopted, however.

After all, insisting that a person is fantastic with a given task or can take on a certain special project when they clearly lack the needed skills is bound to end in disappointment.

The key to taking advantage of the many benefits of confidence is working on those elements which can help create competence and style in nearly any situation.

Personal image branding is a field dedicated to helping people create a specific impression and recognizable set of skills, looks, and behaviors that convey useful and positive information to others.

While personal branding works with a number of different strategies and aspects of the self, the core element which touches each area of personal branding is confidence.

Whether it’s through being well prepared for a given special event or updating a wardrobe to reflect modern fashions, personal branding delivers the opportunity for clients to embody and project confidence in their personal and business interactions, leading to stronger and more meaningful impressions no matter an individual’s field or lifestyle.

Personal branding can encourage and maintain confidence in a number of ways. One of the most overt areas with which personal branding works is physical appearance.

Many people of all shapes and sizes experience body issues or a lack of satisfaction with their appearance, which can detract from even the finest of wardrobes.

Image consultants can work with clients to create a wardrobe as well as a regimen of grooming that fosters an attractive, professional and influential look while also conveying the essence of the personal brand

Through looking their best and feeling attractive and competent as a result, clients can realize a great boost in confidence through such personal branding services.

Confidence can also be achieved through addressing areas that may be lacking in personal and professional abilities. Concerns such as difficulty communicating or a fear of public speaking can be covered with an image consultant, who can help to form the basis for these essential skills with a flair for incorporating the elements of the client’s brand.

The ability to take on formerly daunting tasks and perform in stressful or new situations can lend confidence to clients, which in turn can bolster performance in any environment.

Image consultants recognize that even highly trained professionals can sometimes suffer from a lack of confidence. Often people can address their self doubts and other unhelpful concerns through meeting the source of the problem head-on.

Through developing useful and meaningful skills and creating a harmonious and professional personal image accredited consultants can help clients experience the possibilities of working and living with confidence.
